Beyonce Knowles broke down in tears, which she called an ugly cry, and shared a champagne toast with husband Jay-Z at the end of her "Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal.
Earning $188.6 million from its initial 107 shows in 2013, Beyonce's "Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" was the highest grossing tour of a female performer last year, according to E! Online.
In November 2013, Beyoncé's fifth self-titled album with 17 music videos and 14 songs was released via iTunes without any initial publicity and went on to become No. 1 on the Billboard charts on its debut, Entertainmentwise reported.
The album broke an iTunes record after selling 828,773 copies in only three days.
With her song "XO" playing in the background, the emotional singer thanked the audience for allowing her to have a career, for lifting her up when she falls, and for feeding her when she is hungry.
After acknowledging how lucky she was, Beyonce also mentioned that her daughter, Blue Ivy, was not even walking yet she they started the tour. Blue Ivy is now two years old.
Her husband Jay-Z also performed with her in some of the shows of the tour.
Beyonce and Jay-Z performed a final rendition of their song "Drunk in Love" for the audience of the 132nd and final show of the "Mrs. Carter" tour.
The 44-year-old rapper took it to Instagram to share a photo of him and his wife sharing a toast of Ace of Spades champagne. Beyonce's dancers also joined the photo of celebration.
