The brand who also has an appreciation for mother nature names the collection “Road to Kalakuta“.
According to a rep for Kancky, the collection “was influenced by the life and achievements of musician, political maverick and human rights activist Fela Anikulapo Kuti.”
The creative team at the label also drew inspiration from the Yoruba cultural heritage, opting for the Adire fabric and combining with contemporary fabrics including silk, wool and cotton.
The muse who models the collection had her hair and make-up styled to channel the African heritage and Afrocentric values.
