Kenyan Designer Katungulu’s ‘People of The Taboo’ Collection

Katungulu spent the last year experimenting and bringing this collection to life. The primary distinction between the printed wall hanging and the material in this collection is that while the latter was screen-printed, the material in this collection was digitally printed.

People of the Taboo – may very well seem familiar to you. The Wodaabe of Niger and the Guérewol Festival also inspired this collection, a beautiful mix of tailored jackets, shift dresses, shirts and trousers, some of which are adorned with elaborate prints.
