The good thing about fashion is its
evolution. Puffy skirts are never out of fashion for too long. Puffy
skirts are cute and nice to incorporate in the wardrobe but it has to be
styled nicely and in a more “grown up” manner so it wouldn’t look too
childish.
This is because puffy skirts have always
been a staple for little girls, so much that an 8 year old can opt for
more fitting clothes than a puffy skirt in her wardrobe.
I love puffy skirts for they are
comfortable and flattering to most body types such as wedge and
rectangular shape. They come in different sizes and materials plus one
can have it tailored in the colouring and length of her choice.
Puffy skirts are versatile depending on
how you style them. Depending on your office rules they can be worn on
any official day going to the office, or they can also be worn casually
on a weekend. For instance, tuck in a dressy shirt for an office look
and pair with a printed pull over sweater for a casual look.
My favourite way of wearing a puffy
skirt is with a tank top and cropped cardigan or long sleeved button
shirt but even dressy tops can work.
To achieve a grown-up glamour in a puffy skirt, accessorize with a clutch, sunglasses and statement wrist watch.
Puffy skirts can be paired with printed
blazers. A chic printed blazer is playful and tasteful. It gives puffy
skirt ensembles a more polished look.
Mix solid colours.
Mixing solid colours is another great way of achieving a different look.
For instance, purple and green are unusual together and wearing them
creates a striking look out of an outfit.
When choosing the puffy skirt, pick one
with a lighter material for extra comfort as thick material adds on the
weight of the skirt. Also, choose flattering colours like dark shades
and classic skirts that will take you throughout the year.
Whatever colour or length, make sure you have one or two gorgeous skirts in your wardrobe.
