Short-Waisted Women Style Tips

For petite women that is short-waisted, not every trend is worth it. For example, high-waisted pants will not flatter your figure.
So what can you wear? Don’t fret! JOH MITINDO have put together a list of figure flattering options for your short waist:
1. Avoid high-waisted jeans and trousers. A high-waist will set you off balance. Select low-rise pants to create a proper proportion for your body. Cuffed pants are your best friend.
2. Look for straight, flared or tapered legs when looking for pants. This will give you an inverted triangle look. Distresses jeans will draw the eye downward.
3. Camouflage your short waist by keeping your shirts untucked. By allowing the top to drape pst your waistband elongates your torso. Make sure that the tops are medium to long in length. Steer clear of tops with a boatneck style neckline, wide horizontal patterns and voluminous sleeves, which will only compress your silhouette.
4. To avoid looking shorter, select longer tops. This gives the illusion that your upper body is longer. Plunging necklines will elongate your frame. Trick the eye into creating length with a pattern top.

5. When selecting shirts, go sleeveless, three quarter or long-sleeved. Choose a v-neck or top neckline. An exposed neckline will elongate your short torso.
6. Choose dresses that flow over your waistline and have a drop waist, this will create length through your midsection. Shorter dresses will make your legs look fabulous and further lengthen your lower half. A faux wrap dress in an A-line shape will give you a defined shape without drawing all the attention to your waist.

7. Use colors and patterns to your advantage. Draw attention to your lower half by wearing a bright colored bottom.

8. Choose long necklaces and scarves to create a longer body line. Cold earrings draw the eye upward.
