When there is love and understanding, argument between couples don't
last long. But when certain things are common in marriage, arguments
become daily occurrences at home. What are these things?
(1) Pride. Pride will not allow any of the partners involved to let go. They are bent on wanting to boost their ego.
(2) Selfishness. When couples are selfish, most of their argument will be geared toward satisfying themselves at home.
(3) Stubbornness. If husbands and wives are stubborn, nobody will be ready to let go, making the battle continue.
(4) Lovelessness.
True love is not selfish or proud. If love is not at home, all manners
of evil will be there making unnecessary argument a common occurrence.
(5) Bad Communication.
Wrong use of tongue, verbal attack, deceit and secrecy prolong argument
in marriage. Good communication puts an end to it. (Eph. 4 :29).
(6) Lack of respect.
Couples that respect each other end their argument easily and quickly.
If you fail to respect your spouse, you will always fail to see from
his/her point of view (Eph. 5 :21).
(7) Anger.
Arguing angrily leads to all manner of evil. Most of the time, those who
argue angrily leave the subject matter to verbally assault their
spouses.
