Cartier has launched a new leather handbags collection along with opening a temporary Manhattan boutique.
The latest bags by the French company will be included into two main collections, featuring several luxury designs.
According to WWD, the two collections are the Jeanne Toussaint for women, and Louis Cartier for men. The
Jeanne Toussaint collection, which was named after the former Cartier
jewelry department head, will feature seven styles made of leather,
crocodile, hard stones and metal finishes. Along with the main Toussaint
collection will be released three "creative editions," which will be
sold as limited edition designs.
The
women's handbags will of course have luxury price tages, ranging from
$2,260 for a leather clutch to $14,800 for a limited edition crocodile
skin bag.
Cartier hasn't forgotten its male customer either. For the men's handbags collection, named The Louis Cartier, you can choose from six bags, two of them being limited edition
pieces. The bag styles will range from messengers to briefcases and
document holders. Similar to the women's collection, Louis Cartier
pieces will be sold for a hefty sum, with prices ranging from $1,500 to $46,300 for a crocodile messenger bag.
The latest collections come just in time for New York City customers to shop at the new temporary Cartier location.
While
the Cartier mansion at Fifth Ave has shut down for renovations in the
next two years, shoppers can instead visit the new 59th Street boutique.
Aside
from being just a short walk away from the original Cartier shop, the
new location will boast everything American shoppers would want and
more.
The
11,000 square feet two story location, featuring high ceilings,
chandeliers and oak paneling, falls in line with Cartier's luxury
standard.
Not
just any temporary outpost, the high end store will include areas for
engagement and bridal jewelry, watches, high end jewelry, vintage pieces
and accessories for you to enjoy.
